Diagnostic Care

Diagnostic Care

It is important to make an appointment with your veterinarian if you have concerns about a change in your pet’s health or behaviour. Although it may be alluring to look up a diagnosis online, a veterinarian clinic is typically the only place with the tools necessary to accurately diagnose your pet. The Animal Clinic of Poplar Grove uses a wide variety of cutting-edge diagnostic technologies to quickly and accurately identify medical problems.

In-House Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory is equipped to carry out a variety of fundamental laboratory tests, like as blood testing, faecal examinations, and urinalysis, to assist our medical staff in accurately determining your pet’s health. The benefit of conducting tests inside the clinic as opposed to sending samples to a local laboratory for testing is that it allows us direct access to the results for your pet right away. This enables us to arrive at a diagnosis fast and begin a treatment plan immediately once in the case of a critical illness.

Digital X-Ray & Ultrasound

To diagnose interior diseases, we also use ultrasound and digital radiology (x-ray). Ultrasound is helpful in monitoring heart ailments and seeing cysts and tumours on any of the abdominal organs, while X-rays are helpful in diagnosing a wide range of medical issues, including bone fractures and breaks, bladder stones, and some malignancies. Ultrasound can be used to monitor animal pregnancies as well.

For both our small and large animal patients, we are pleased to provide radiography and ultrasound services.
